Save On Cell Phones.ca : Learn More, Know More, Save More

Throughout my education, work experience and personal use I have extensive knowledge, unique technical information, tricks of the trade and a ton of information on the Canadian Cell Phone Industry.  My objective with this blog is to share this information with you so you Learn More, Know More and hence can Save More on the numerous aspects of your cell phone!

One of my guiding principles is that to succeed in life it is not What you know, but Who you know.  So I am going to try to save you some time by sharing the information that I KNOW about the industry and the information that I find out!   I will focus on these main areas that I enjoy the most.

1. Canadian Cellular Industry – I have worked in the Canadian Cellular Industry since 2002 and have had experience with all major carriers including Bell, Rogers and Telus.  My objective is to teach you about the industry and share knowledge on how I can help you leverage the carriers to save you money on your cell phone bills (consumer or corporate).  The carriers make more than enough money, I want to show you how you can keep some of that money by teaching you about the industry.

2. Cell Phones - There are hundreds of cell phones out there and many of them have features, options and costs that make it confusing to choose.  I will critique some of these devices and provide you with information on where to buy them, unlocking cell phones, accessories and overall cost saving strategies that will help you down the road.

3. Cell Phone Plans - The Canadian Carriers combined have well over 500 different options for voice and data plans for you as a consumer.  You can double that number if you include commercial and corporate plans.  It is virtually impossible to figure out the most cost effective options for you and your usage but in this section I will share my insights on the best way to do it.  I will also highlight new offers from the carriers and features and options that could be beneficial to you.

4. Tips and Tricks – This section is the go to section to find out tips and tricks on devices and carrier features.  I will highlight cost saving, time saving tips that will help you be more productive and save more time.  I will look at everything from Apps, to phone settings, to voice, text and data options that you likely aren’t aware of.  Think of this section as the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow full of cost saving tips.

You might be asking yourself WHY am I so willing to give out this information, well the answer is simple.  I have watched the carriers fill their pockets with Canadian consumers’ money and I am tired of it.  The carriers have a monopoly in Canada and so as consumers we need to be informed in order to fight back.  If we all make changes and reduce our costs the carriers will have to be more responsive, more adaptable and thus more affordable to Canadians.
